About this deal

After testing each model, the next step was merely a matter of determining who would benefit from each rangefinder, be it a beginner with a small budget or an up-and-coming pro with decades of experience. There's so much to consider while shopping around. Price is often the determining factor, but there's much more to it than that. What color do I want? What size? What features can't I live without? How does it look and feel in my hand? Or if not the most accurate, we’ll at least say it’s among the most confidence-inspiring devices I’ve used. Final Thoughts on the Cobalt Q-6 Slope

The case is well-designed and sturdy, with a “horizontal” opening rather than the “vertical” arrangement I've seen with some others. I play most of my golf in Nashville and I use a rangefinder FREQUENTLY on the course. In an effort to be on my phone less (or not at all) I dispensed with the GPS yardages app I had and I use my rangefinder to shoot flags, hazards and really anything of note (I prefer to have all the information). This is especially important on courses I haven't played before. I have a fairly "budget" rangefinder at present that I usually have to shoot something about 4-5 times and then throw out any crazy numbers and take some sort of average. Also, it is useless in any small amount of fog. So deciding to focus entirely on a subpar rangefinder may have been a bad choice but also a great opportunity for the Cobalt! For me, the most important attributes of a rangefinder are:

I will test the slope feature as well. I have not had this feature before and am excited to see if this helps or hurts my old manual guess on how much more or less club to hit based on the elevation difference. The more I’ve used the Cobalt the more I’ve enjoyed it. The superior optics and wonderful display make it a joy to use. If you’re able to move beyond the very good budget products, and the also very good and more popular Bushnell products – you’ll find the Cobalt Q6 Slope to be one of the very best rangefinders on the market. When comparing the Cobalt Q6 Slope Rangefinder to its competitors, it’s crucial to consider the differences in price and features to determine the best value for golfers. The following table highlights the key aspects of the Q6 and its closest competitors: ITEM

I talked about this at length in my NX10 review, and I was pleased to see Cobalt follow a similar suit with the Q6. After just a couple rounds with the Cobalt Q-6 in my arsenal, I can confidently say that the product met all my expectations — and then some. Does anybody needthis? No, of course they don’t. If the flag is 100.4 or 100.8 yards away, this will have no bearing on your shot no matter how good you are.But the build quality and design of it is great. It has both slope compensation and a built-in magnet. Maybe most importantly, it’s from a company that I know cares about their customers – so you’re going to get good support should things go sideways. Introducing the Cobalt Q-4 Slope—the budget-friendly addition to Cobalt’s lineup of premium performance golf rangefinders. This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. The budget-conscious Cobalt Q-4 Slope does everything the big names do. Along with its performance features, the Q-4 Slope features an IPX7 waterproof rating and a lifetime warranty. The six-times zoom is excellent and the total 1,300 yards of range (450-yard pin detection) is among the best.

Cobalt – cobalt-golf

It seems at least equal to Bushnell if not better. I tested against a Bushnell V2 shift and while numbers were slightly different (almost every time) they were within 1/2 yd of each other. They both gave consistent numbers and seemed to have a similar experience. Cobalt touts being able to shoot up to 450 yds which I amazing but not something I have a ton of utility for. That said, if people keep hitting the ball farther and farther they may need to start knowing where hazards are at 450 yds off the tee. MOST ADVANCED GPS RANGEFINDER, GREAT FOR BUNKERS AND HAZARDS…Great product. It is the most advanced laser range finder on the market. It shows bunker/hazard information on the screen with GPS data and you and turn the slope on and off for tournament use. It also eliminates false measurements in Pin mode. Very easy to use and lightweight compared to other lasers I’ve used in the past. GPS for bunkers and hazards gives a great distance guide on where to place shots. Verified Buyer It does it frequently, but not all the time. So when I get it? I know with 100% confidence the distance is correct. One standout feature of the Cobalt Q-6’s display is its range of nine brightness settings, which allows users to optimize visibility based on their environment. Need more light when playing under a cloudy sky? Crank up the brightness setting by rotating the menu dial! Conversely, if you’re squinting against harsh sunlight, simply lower it down to prevent glare from interfering with your shot accuracy.

I touched on a few of the Cobalt Q-6 Slope rangefinder’s features already above, but we’ll dive in deeper in this section. First and foremost is the slope technology. This gives you a distance to your target adjusted for elevation. When you’re in slope mode, it’s clearly indicated by a red light on the side of the device. You can switch slope off making the Q6-Slope tournament legal.

Rather, this GPS rangefinder has a video screen that gives you all kinds of additional information overlayed on your view.As an example... on a course I regularly play, I know within 5-10 yards the distance where my ball lies, the laser is a tool I bought for more precision because clubbing up or down could be the difference between bird, par, bogey... There are a handful of useful features in the Cobalt Q-4 rangefinder. First, there’s a slope feature that’s easily engaged by a press of the button on the side. Slope being on will be indicated via a bright red light. For those that don’t know what slope is, it’s the distance to your target adjusted for elevation. Most tournaments will NOT allow slope to be used, so that’s why the red light indicator is key.
