My last run of autoflowers has been a terrible failure. Before this I had no problems getting a decent yield. I think the problem may be with my soil (basic potting compost mixed 50/50 with perlite) Before I used cheap potting soil too, but a different brand. It seems that overwatering is occuring, I cant even do a full water at 4 weeks, it has just curled up (previous to that I was giving a few squirts at the base every day, this was fine they plants looked OK). How Do I Use CANNA Terra Professional?

Improved yield size - This additive stimulates heavier, denser, more compact bud growth which increases the yield weight. For larger plants, use 5 litre pots or larger. The larger the pot, the more constant the root environment will be. If you use run-to-waste, make sure that there’s sufficient drainage; you may want to place a thin layer of hydro-granules in the bottom of the pot for air and drainage. Watering I’ve never measured the PPM, so can’t help you there. Ignorance is bliss in my case. I water with about 10% run off. It takes a lot longer to water as you get into flowering, because the roots are really dense. You need patience. I agree about the cost of the nutes. I’m not a big grower, so relatively speaking it doesn’t matter (comparing the cost of buying to growing). I live in the UK, so I’m not familiar with the range you are talking about. If I was convinced that I would get the same results, I would use something cheaper. Again, I’ll do one or two grows in a year, so I’m way more concerned that it turns out good than I am about incremental costs.

So I am looking to use the canna Terra Professional Soil Mix. I just wonder do I need to mix this with perlite? If so, how much? It says it has perlite already in it, but drainage is obviously important to get this overwatering problem under control.
