About this deal

Robert Kirkman on 'Walking Dead' season two: 'You haven't seen anything yet' ". Entertainment Weekly . Retrieved October 24, 2014.

The general outline and journey of the survivors is similar to that of the show, but there's still huge differences with regards to individual character storylines, so even as a fan of the show, I'm kept on my toes. The group continues their lives, and Lori's baby is born, until the Governor arrives at the prison, ready for a battle. Okay, I'm going to say this right up front, and everyone can get as huffy as they'd like: it's all true. Batavia St., Suite A, Orange, CA 92867: Image Comics. In our society, you never would want to go prison, but in an apocalyptical dystopia plagued with zombies, a prison would look like the logical choice. Overall, to be this deep into such a lengthy series as The Walking Dead and still feel like it's just getting better and better is a phenomenal achievement in modern comics. Where to begin? I really enjoy reading comics (or graphic novels, if that's the term you prefer) and am constantly on the lookout for something new to enjoy in the genre. For the most part, I tend to read classic, well known stuff like Alan Moore's work or Maus or things like that. Recently I got the itch to try out something a bit more, well, recent! Something new and fresh. Callan, Jonathan (September 28, 2008). "Baltimore: Image Comics Panel". Comic Book Resources . Retrieved May 12, 2009. First off the two are not the same. They are similar in a few keeps points and milestones but the events and characters diverge greatly from the separate story lines. This chapter is the epic beginning of the mega popular franchise of The Walking Dead that first was comic books, then expanded to a TV series and now there are even prose novels. For those of you who are fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead but haven’t read the graphic novels, let me assure you: you aren’t missing anything. My apologies to Robert Kirkman, but the tv show is a million times better. The show’s characters are more fleshed out and the storylines are much more complex. Most of the time I think it’s a good idea to read the book that a movie or tv show has been adapted from because the book usually gives you a more in depth look at the characters or story, but that does not hold true for The Walking Dead graphic novel. In the comic books, the characters and storylines are the barebones that the tv show does an amazing job of expanding. Fillari, Alessandro (April 6, 2019). I just don't know what anyone's thinking. To me, that's scarier than any half-rotten ghoul trying to eat my flesh." It's amazing to me how different they have made the show but been able to keep some of the elements of the books. I honestly think I'm more of a fan of the show than the books, not that they aren't good too. The show to me just fleshes out the story so much more. I care more for the characters, most of them get on my nerves in the books. I'm looking at you Maggie. I like the concept. I like the dark no-one-is-safe atmosphere. The art is fittingly bleak and gritty, if not particularly inspired. Otterson, Joe (November 5, 2018). "Andrew Lincoln to Star in Multiple 'Walking Dead' Movies for AMC". Variety . Carl continues to learn more about The Whisperers, and a survivor's fate is decided while another steps down. Blunders are made, and a deadly promise given that is all too real. Lines are crossed that will affect everyone. The only other lengthy comic collection I've read to compare it to is Y The Last Man, but that was a limited run. Even then, the same problems I had with emotional impact being lessoned because of the formate (for me, for me!) were there. But it wasn't repetitive; it had a direction that WD doesn't seem to have in the second compendium. In all honesty, the first compendium may have only seemed to because, after the first few issues, I was reading the source material of a TV show I'd actually followed farther than the book. I had the show as a marker, and the end of the collection corresponded to what was upcoming on television (oddly enough, I finished Comp. 2 on the night of the season three finale).

a b Cronin, Brian (October 22, 2017). "Comic Legends: Was Walking Dead Going to be Night of the Living Dead?". Comic Book Resources . Retrieved October 23, 2017.Andrea asks what does he want. Spencer wants nothing more but to talk, but Andrea has nothing to say to him. Spencer asks why and thinks it's the comment he said in the middle of the Alexandria Safe-Zone chaos. Also, he thinks she thinks Spencer cared more about their lives than the others lives in the Zone. Andrea tells Spencer she gets that, and she mentioned a lot to him, but it's over. Spencer still thinks they had something special, but then Andrea tells him they didn't. Spencer asks what makes her say that, and says he could show in a matter of time they have something compatible. Andrea tells him to get off of her porch, and he leaves.
