About this deal

Best of all, I can layer it beautifully with my new favorite oud scent - Jovan Intense Oud - creating a rich and cheerful aroma. The combination is both lively and seductive. I've already put this comment under the oil. But since I suspect that most of them are looking for the scent here, I put my comment here as well. I'm not interested in trophies or anything. I just want my experience to reach as many people as possible :) . there's a dozen of Al Rehab perfumes which I love and this is among them. BTW I have it in 35 mil spray bottle.

This is different, it might be due to the carrier being oil and not alcohol but this is one rare floral that I truly like. It's full and rounded and non-cloying and even though I can smell it hovering over the precipice of that dusty moldy soil that I get from almost all the others on the market, it doesn't fall into it. I'm very glad for this! NB. I have re-applied this on it's own this afternoon, and I now know what it's about. I still get blown away by the opening, but after 10 minutes I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! (Sorry for the shout). But when I woke up after sampling this for the first time the evening before, I smelled a creamy, vanilla-infused musk instead of the cupcake-vanilla in Fantasy. More perfumey than the baked goods drydown of the original. I tried it two more times and always got the same result, in the final drydown Fantastic becomes its own fragrance. It’s fresh enough to smell young, but not cloying. It’s not sweet and not musky at all. It’s a generally non offensive scent that won’t bother anyone. However, it is unique! This is quite an accomplishment in my view. Most neuterally pleasing scents are rather generic, but not this one. It’s hard for me to define exactly what sets it apart, but if I had to name anything I would say perhaps the ozone. This is my go-to choice when I can’t figure out what else to wear. It’s clean and I smell quite a bit of fresh ozone and a clean, nearly green floral. It’s not a perfume that projects very well, and people in your vicinity may remark on a good smell but I haven’t had anyone be able to pin it directly on me.

Now, it smells very feminine and light, a nice perfume to wear during the day, with a pretty dress or blouse, and would be excellent for Spring and Summer days. This to me smells very classy and will be nicely paired with an elegant dress, dinner and well behaved conversation and my hair in a strict chignon! It's a Friday evening in 1993 and I'm in the toilets at work - a little second hand clothes store in Notting Hill - getting ready to head out into the night. I'm wearing MAC Spice lipliner topped with lashings of Carmex lipbalm from the imported beauty shop on Portobello Road and a pair of platform embroidered suede sandals, which earlier in the day Vivienne Westwood complimented me on when she was in buying an 80s rara skirt. Before I leave to hop on a bus to the West End, I douse myself in a cloud of effervescent tuberose/bug killer/juicy fruits that is Amarige. When I come into work in the morning, the cloud will still be hanging in the air, as indelible as the hangover I'll bring with me. Warning: this, along with the rest of the Al- Rehab oils is very strong smelling. Apply in the tiniest dabs to test your tolerance.

Perfume oil Soft by Al Rehab

I also need to add I am not a huge fan of most florals as they fall flat and smell like a vase of wilted flowers with some mold thrown in on me. Al-Nourus from Al-Rehab with fragrance features peach, mango, melon, lime, white musk, white lily and iris flower for Women.

I prefer this perfume in the roller ball over the spray version. It does stay closer to the body in oil form but the authenticity of the fragrance is more apparent. Though its gourmand, sweet and strong fragnance, it does not last very long, at least not what you would have expected from sweet and gourmand fragnance. I guess its about 5-6 hours, but on the clothes it lasts a few days. The rose is very gently coming through, along with some more 'garden', and a lovely, light jasmine. I would imagine that this wears quite close to the skin, which is no bad thing, and needs to be kept away from the public for the first 30 minutes. You have to know, this is very strong fragnance, gourmand, sweet and oriental. And its easy to be over-perfumed, again, when we talk about this bottle in the picture - only a half of a whole dose is enough. That doser gives quite a lot of a fragnance, so think about it. This settles down quite nicely after the first >30 minutes smelling of very ripe banana-flavoured tuberose with a good measure of sugar on top, although that might be because I didn't let it settle after being delivered. I know from past experience, that these oils get very 'shook up' by the whole delivery process, and need to 'rest' for a few days before their real character shows. My bad, I can't wait to try a new one. The nicest thing about many Arabian scents? Their layerability! Having the 'oud' note in common seems to help this considerably. Organdy is no exception. In place of the greens in Organza, this little darling contains oud! It's TRULY a middle eastern take on a classic. When I first smelled this piece, I was quite sorry, because I bought it without previous trying and it was not quite something I expected. Indeed very close to Britney Spears Fantasy, so this review is more of a comparison of these two. The opening is about the same, very bright, sweet and fruity with a tart kiwi note. I think the kiwi is a little more rounded and less sour than in Fantasy. I don't know about pre-reformulated Fantasy, if I ever smelled that it must have been over a decade ago. Fantastic is also a little more floral than Fantasy, but these are only minor differences, so I thought that Fantastic is pretty much just a dupe.

It begins with fresh aqua, mint and bergamot, with lily and vetiver in the middle note to warm-sweet with roses, amber and musk nuances insurance. I've never smelled Amirage so I cannot compare the two, but my new 'niche' perfume (Amirage Classic, anyone?) is absolutely fab. Just off to apply to other parts!!Later I have it on my skin, the more I like this fragnance (probably because flower tones are getting weaker and weaker). To the perfume: first feeling is caramel together with some citrus chords. Later it becomes more smoothy, "creamy" (if it can be said about this piece, well) and caramel becomes more and more beautiful. There are of course (expecially in the beginning) some flower tones, which probably makes that "enourmous feeling" on the beginning, when its mixed with caramel (and maybe a little bit chocolate - but in this time, cant help myself, but I feel white chocolate). And on my skin, after a few hours, there can be felt: soft and creamy caramel + a little bit of white chocolate + citruses. Susan is Friday nights in 1993 and is pure nostalgia in a tiny bottle. A powerhouse, but still, slightly gentler than its juggernaut of a sister; this won't harangue those Saturday morning hangovers when you're up for work at six even though you didn't get in til gone two. Something I definitely would have welcomed thirty (THIRTY?!?!) years ago.
