About this deal

This step is not required for brand new out-of-the-box phones, however, if the phone has been already used then it is a must. The Yealink W60B is the DECT IP base station for small and medium-sized businesses. Paring with up to a total of 8 Yealink W56H DECT handsets, W60B allows you enjoy superb mobility and efficient flexibility immediately as well as significantly eliminates additional wiring troubles and charges. A powerful chip ensuring a better and higher performance, this DECT IP base station not only supports up to 8 VoIP accounts and 8 concurrent calls, but also speeds up its startup and signal connection, slashes its upgrade downtime as well. If you don't yet have a base station, follow these steps. If you are adding an additional handset to an existing setup, go to Assembling the Phone. If there are two calls on hold, press Resume soft key to resume the current call. Press the Swap soft key to swap between calls. You'll have to wait couple of seconds for the configuration to be updated. NOTE: Do not power off your phone.

So i used a logical workaround: I then managed to reset the handset in settings which failed before and then pressed the connect button on the base and managed re-register the handset from settings it then paired ok. This Configuration Guide is written as general guide on how to configure the Yealink phone model W60B to work with PBXware 4.1. ¶ Video Tutorial So until we forwarded the incoming port 5001 on our LAN to the SBC, the W60B phone could not auto-provision and that seems perfectly logical given the above. Designed in modern and elegant style, this compact DECT IP base station possesses a wire-hidden design, presenting a concise and tidy desk to you even being mounted to the wall. By supporting Opus codec, Yealink W60B consistently delivers excellent and profes- sional audio quality in both high-bandwidth and poor network conditions, comparing with other wideband or narrowband audio codecs. Features -> General Information -> Number Of Active Handsets --> Set to 8 (if you have more than 4 handsets)

Both BT Cloud Voice and BT Cloud Phone portals include facilities to add or delete new devices (licences) and no doubt there is an assumption someone is actively managing them. The issue may arise though on SME with a small number of lines, sending out preconfigured kit and people simply using the pre-setup or express setup.

Now these are the errors (using Level = ERR) i can see in the log file, but I don't know what to do about them, perhaps you can help? (see attachment) Local is for all extensions registered on the LAN and Remote is for all extensions registered from remote networks, WAN, Internet etc. Ok either your network is more complex then you describe, or you (and your head of IT) are really not understanding how 3CX is architected.. The standard for most firewalls is to deny all new inbound traffic, allow all outbound traffic, and to allow any inbound traffic in response to outbound traffic. Since all the phone and SBC traffic is outbound or inbound in response to outbound traffic you do NOT need any port forwarding, assuming your previous statements are correct. The SBC and the phone should be on the same LAN, thus the firewall should not be seeing any traffic between them, and thus no port forward. And the SBC has nothing listening on port 5001 since that is the web administration port for 3CX which is in GCP according to you. If you do not have a simple network then you need to describe or provide a network diagram. By simple I mean this: Say you have an incoming call that you've answered, and you want to transfer it to someone else and introdice the caller as you go...Can you tell me if the ports in the PBX GCP Firewall all have to be open for remote handsets if the SBC is in the office? yes/no NOTE: Do not unplug or remove power to the phone while it is updating firmware and configurations. ¶ Registering phone I think you are missing this step in the guide for actually putting the URL into the base station and you're going straight to the part about registering a handset to the base station: If you need help then our team are available from Monday to Thursday (between 9:00am and 5:30pm GMT) and on Friday (between 9:00am and 4:30pm GMT) The PIN is used to register handsets to the base station, and for the handset to access settings from the base station. When a Base and a handset are supplied together in a single box, then the handset should already be registered to the base station. You can use these steps to register additional handsets though:

I am assuming single line voice over BB services from BT, Sky and VM are protected by some form of additional BB service/router parameter as well as the credentials being hidden from users in the GUI even if the risk is extremely small.

Yes we don't understand what architecture is required for the SBC. It's not clear to us whether the SBC should be in front of or behind the firewall. Our SBC is on the Phone LAN, our phones all have dynamic IP's between 192.168.200.1-100 and the SBC is on a static 192.168.200.101. The phone provisions happily over 5001 as we allowed this port to forward to the SBC on our CISCO firewall in the office. We did see during the config process that the NAT entries could not be created for a group object, however do we have access to remote CCTV cameras etc fine, and with no specific NAT rules, however the CISCO router ACL (Access control List) has been setup for both our office cameras which work and also the SBC ports 5001 and 5090 allowed in and forwarded to the SBC, in the same way and is presumably why the phone provisions successfully. Is anything missing in our setup here? Connect the Base Station to the power using the cable provided. If you are using Power over Ethernet, you can skip this step. I must say, not being able to access the cPanel is a bit annoying, as you lose access to certain features – i.e. directory, codec settings, etc.

Using a regular ethernet cable, your phone can be powered from a Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant router or switch.

The Yealink W60P Wireless DECT IP Phone is a premium phone designed with robust hardware, ideal for businesses that require greater capability to handle a heavy call load. The Yealink W60B/W70B is a DECT base station aimed at home as well as small and medium-sized businesses. Its main specifications are: i discovered this by using cd /var and cd log and then ls to show the directory contents and then one more cd /3cxsbc So I then added the provisioning URL for Local LAN (in the office), not SBC remote, which i had used before, seeing that makes more logical sense given we now have the SBC, as the provisioning method. Having confirmed and pressed the auto-provision button, the Web Gui says Operation Completed, but the handset then said Unregistered. I think, therefore, that this "failure" does not matter, but I would be interested to know if this is a correct assumption as it also potentially points to a problem of some kind that could affect the W60 from being unable to register even though the phones in the office work fine.
