Hi Sam. To be honest, I don’t think using the internal filters are the best choice, certainly where long-term cost is concerned. I think the best value for money option in the long term is under counter water filtration or reverse osmosis, just getting a plumber to install a decent filter or RO system under the kitchen counter to filter all your drinking water, this way all the water you’re drinking is filtered (obviously not only to prevent limescale). The systems themselves aren’t all that expensive, they start from a couple of hundred, so if you do some research and then find a plumber and let them know what you’re thinking of doing, get some quotes, it shouldn’t be all that pricey, it’s not a big job.
