About this deal

Anyway, once you take care of the room you are in, you reveal the next two rooms to the right and below where you are. You get to choose between them, and as the level progresses you eventually wind up in the bottom right of the grid. Once there, you descend a level which means you have to eat a Food (or lose 3 HP), reset any abilities you have, and reset the grid for the next level. If it’s a boss level though, you fight a big baddie.

When I was a 12 year old child I first discovered Dungeons and Dragons at a candy store owned by a dentist (he was probably investing in making sure he had future work as a dentist) in Dayton, Ohio. At one corner of the candy store was a section which included Dungeons and Dragon Basic Sets and the hard cover Advanced Dungeons and Dragons books – Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide and the Monster Manual. He also had Ral Partha miniatures made out of real lead and tons of dice as well as some war games like Ogre and Star Fleet Battles. That store was my gateway drug to the wonderful world of role playing and war gaming. I can’t even tell you how many hours I spent with my friends playing D&D on Friday and Saturday nights. Now that I’m older, I don’t have as much time to keep up with role playing as I used to and it’s currently a little difficult to get groups together anymore.{default}Mini Rogue is a game deeply inspired by roguelikes. In this single-player or cooperative game, you play as an adventurer who, room by room and floor by floor, slowly makes his way into the heart of the dungeon in search of the Blood of Og: a legendary artifact with an aura of mystery. In Q4, two expansions for Mini Rogue are planned to release: Depths of Damnation, a set introducing Lore Cards, which allow players to "choose their own story", and Glittering Treasure, a set of cards produced with a stunning and glittering holographic foil effect. Room cards contain things like traps, monsters, random people you find on your quest such as merchants or hunters or special rooms such as the alter room. You can trade gold with merchants and hunters to buy food, potions, heals, etc. You may run in to a friendly raven who, for either food or gold, will help you in your quest.

Mini Rogue comes in a small box which, when opened, delivers massive fun! It’s an anti-Pandora’s Box of goodness! Components Just played a learning game of this. Got about halfway through the dungeon before I ran out of food and died. I agree with everything Michael wrote in the review. They really accomplished so much with so little here that it's undeniably impressive. A neat thing is that it's perfect information when exploring while still "feeling" like exploring because of the grid. Like there's just enough of a sense of movement even if it's ultimately meaningless because you always start top-left and end bottom-right. Delve into the dungeon in search of the mysterious ruby, Og's Blood. Fight monsters, give offerings at shrines, meet travelling merchants, rest, scour for food and avoid the traps. You will gain experience to further improve your skills and to aid you in your delve. But watch out as at the end of every floor there is a Boss to face, you may also get cursed, blinded or poisoned. Monsters, dangers, treasures, bosses, dungeons, random rooms and encounters are all present in Mini Rogue. In this 1-2 player game, you play an adventurer who dives into a dungeon, room after room, area after area, level after level, to steal the Blood of Og: a legendary and mysterious gem. Each area of the dungeon is laid out as a branching of rooms. Each time you encounter two rooms, you must choose one of them.Note: per this thread, the same cards are already in the base game, these just have the holographic foil effect added. Thus this item is treated on BGG as an accessory (adding bling), rather than an expansion (adding functionality). When you think of dungeon crawlers/dungeon delvers I tend to think of minis, map tiles, heavy rules and a big box to keep all the "stuffs" in. Mini rogue flips this on its head. There are no minis, the rules are relatively light and it comes in a very small and compact box. But how does it play, that is the real question, right? Well read on to find out more.

Passed Inspection: full solo or two player adventure in a small box; fun artwork; high quality components; tons of replay value for the money; great optional rules; campaign included

Mini Rogue is a game deeply inspired by roguelikes.

Heighten your dungeon-crawling experience with the allure of gold. This 9-card expansion is composed of all boss cards and a rewards card with a stunning holographic effect. In this 1 to 2-player game, you play as an adventurer that delves into a dungeon, room after room, area after area, level after level, to loot the Go’s Blood: a fabled and mysterious ruby gemstone. You will determine the outcome of each encounter by rolling the die, and decide how to continue the adventure. You win the game if you can reach the last room in the dungeon and defeat the final Guardian, the remains of Og. Theme(s) Put your character meeple on the first room which is the room on the left most position on the 3 x 3 matrix of cards you have put face down. Flip that starting room card over and deal with the results. Once the encounter is resolved, assuming you are still alive, you proceed as above. Moving to the right or down resolving encounters as you go. Once you get to the bottom right most card you will proceed to the next dungeon. If you have reached the end of that particular floor and need to resolve a boss then you fight the boss before proceeding to the next floor.
