About this deal

Vanquish 440 has four search modes: coins, relics, jewelry, and custom. As for me, I use Relics mode more often. I’d advise using All metal at the beginning, but you should pay attention to how each target sounds, including iron. This way, you’ll learn to hear what kind of metal is under the coil, and then you can switch to other settings and feel more confident when using them. The 340 is still a great option for those on a stricter budget. Both the Vanquish series and Equinox series have higher Target ID accuracy at maximum depth and faster recovery speed, making them a true contender in the metal detecting world. The Vanquish 440 comes with 5 Find Modes: Coin, Relic, Jewelry, All Metal and Custom. Each mode is pre-programmed and fully optimized to allow users the best performance. The Vanquish 440 works well in parks, fields, mountains, rivers/streams, yards, gold prospecting, and even beach environments. Frequencies - Three: Low, Medium, high, Simultaneously, Noise Cancel, Auto (19 Channels) Iron Bias, High

Operating at frequencies above 14 kHz significantly increases the chances of finding gold, so the ability to scan up to 40 kHz is a major bonus. It is important to remember that to find gold, you must look where gold has already been found. Gold is not in all areas, so be sure you are searching in areas known to contain gold or you are setting yourself up for failure. What really sets the Vanquish 440 apart from other entry level metal detectors is the Multi-IQ technology. The Equinox 600 and 800 have the same Multi-IQ technology, but at a hugely increased price. The Simplex+ is a great model too, but only has a single frequency. analasing the similarities and differences between them to get a clearer picture of what's really down there. It still features Minelab’s top-of-the-line Multi-IQ technology and has adjustable sensitivity and volume. These are all excellent features for metal detectors, and some that are not as common on entry-level metal detectors. You do not necessarily need more features; you need the right features when choosing a metal detector. So, if your budget is a bit thin, the Vanquish 340 will be a fantastic choice for you.

Moreover, a new series of coils that were developed specifically for Vanquish machines attracts attention as well. All metal detectors in the series have DD coils, which is really cool (best regards to Garrett again!). This detector is all-purpose, uses Multifrequency and is compatible with several coils, which is cool. You can adjust audio tones and depth indication, and also control the volume of signal, because there is no vibration. The system is not rechargeable, and you can use only headphones for this model specifically.

The design of the Vanquish series is rather curious, and while it really reminds a device from some kind of videogame of the 80s, at least it does not fall apart when handled (like Go-Find does). Vanquish looks pretty solid. The 440 features Multi-IQ technology (more on this in the next section), a waterproof V10 search coil, audio control, and pinpoint mode. This simple to use, lightweight, compact metal detector works well in all terrains and for all metals. This is an all-purpose machine with great features, a compact design, and simple functionality at a fantastic price. While designed with beginner metal detectorists in mind, the Vanquish 440 has enough features to make even an intermediate detectorist happy.A: In my humble opinion, yes! Especially if you are a new detectorist, you will find the Vanquish 340 perfect for starting out. The only real difference in these detectors is the Vanquish 440 has a few more features and settings. But that does not mean the Vanquish 340 is not a fantastic metal detector. This model is more than enough for someone just starting out. Findings: Detailed findings are as shown on the test data sheet with comments and conclusions directly below. It’s definitely a beginners detector, but compared to some entry level detectors it does a good job of discriminating out iron and achieves some good depth of targets. The build quality feels good and its comfortable to use. It performs far better on beaches and in shallow water than most other brands of detector with similar prices, but as the control box is not waterproof it can only be used in the shallows. The Vanquish 440 comes with a pinpoint mode. Pinpoint mode is designed to help narrow a target search area down, so you dig less. It gives a more precision readout about the target location. This model also has iron bias, although it is not adjustable. It is preset at high. It features 10 levels of sensitivity adjustment to tweak it for your soil type, and 5 depth indicators.

VANQUISH welcomes tough terrain. It dominates at the beach in wet sand and salt water, outperforming other detectors that can’t compete. 12 discrimination segments deliver control over what metals you want to accept or reject. For each machine you acquire, it’s almost a guarantee that you will own the latest detection technologies for the category of machine you had. To start with, let’s define what kind of product line is that? Well, things are quite simple here. Minelab has a product line of metal detector for beginners called Minelab Go-Find. It turned out to be not very successful one. It hasn’t been in demand from the very beginning and, moreover, nowadays it has become outdated. Iron Bias: (High) This feature was first introduced in the Equinox Series and allows you to deal with situations when junk iron is close to an actual good non-ferrous target. In this case you have only the possibility to set Iron Bias to high which means that your machine will only focus on clean non-ferrous targets.Except that, some general improvements of all VANQUISH models were implemented. The update also includes improved ways of using batteries for all models as well as new reporting when the battery is low. The review Water resistant vs waterproof. The Vanquish 440 control box is weather/water resistant but the coil is waterproof. To my way of thinking, all detectors should be fully waterproof if not weatherproof. Why? Ours is an outdoor hobby and even if you’re not a water hunter, a heavy rain could do a detector in if it isn’t waterproof, but that’s just the view from my foxhole. The Vanquish does come with a nice control box cover so Minelab has taken the possible pop-up shower into consideration. More than that, the real intelligence of the system is that the Multi-IQ processing will collate and compare the signals from all operating frequencies, Technical Reason: Before if you wanted to have a Minelab multi-frequency machine with Iron Bias feature you had to acquire an Equinox model which is not affordable by everybody!
