About this deal

All models are supplied with their appropriate bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. This is another meat-and-potatoes box. Nothing fancy here just the basics. That’s not a bad thing! The Necrons can get the job done without getting super flashy. In a Boarding Action game, this box can do work. Lychguard shine in cramped spaces while the warriors take objectives and lay down decent firepower. The Ophydian Destroyers are plenty fast, too. Chaos Daemons have – appropriately, given the arrival of Angron – manifested as a huffing and slavering crash of Khornate nightmares. 10 Bloodletters and 10 Flesh Hounds are led by Khorne’s favourite hunter – Karanak, the Hound of Vengeance. In the cramped confines of a space hulk, these frenzied killers will close the distance between enemy guns with warp-flushed speed and savagery. Boarding Patrol: Necrons provides a balanced force of Necron infantry, perfectly suited to blasting and slicing foes apart in games of Warhammer 40,000 – especially in the dense and deadly Boarding Action missions detailed in the Arks of Omen series – and will save you money compared to buying the kits individually. Boarding Patrol: Necrons is a dispassionate force of mechanised warriors featuring 10 Necron Warriors, three Canoptek Scarab Swarms, 10 Lychguard – who can be built as Triarch Praetorians outside of Boarding Actions – and three Ophydian Destroyers with a Canoptek Plasmactyte.

If you missed it, we look at the latest pricing and values of the new Warhammer 40k box sets, besides the Boarding Patrols, in separate posts below: Vashtorr the Arkifane’s quest for the Key-fragments is nearing its end, and the action turns to the dead world of Arthas Moloch in the fourth chapter in the epic narrative series, Arks of Omen: Farsight. Commander Farsight is just preparing to wrap up the vicious War of Dakka once and for all, when calamity strikes and his entire operation is jeopardised by the arrival of the Unhallowed space hulk and its Balefleet entourage. Finally, the Death Guard heed Abaddon’s call, with an obdurate if slimy Boarding Patrol led by a Lord of Virulence. He’s joined by a bodyguard of three Deathshroud Terminators, as well as 10 versatile Plague Marines – three of which are taken from the much-sought-after Plague Marine Reinforcements set. The Boarding Patrol: Necrons is not just a collection of miniatures; it’s a strategic toolkit for those looking to dominate in the close-quarters combat of space hulk warfare. Discover more about the Necrons and learn how to play them in games of Warhammer 40k with this kit now! What’s in the Boarding Patrol: Necrons Box? It's a bit of a shame that the Genestealers are still the older miniatures. It would have been nice to see them updated before getting a set like this. If the rumours are to be believed though, we'll be getting a new roster of Tyranid miniatures with the 10th Edition of Warhammer 40,00 this summer.

Commander Farsight doesn’t just have a book dedicated to him – he’s also got an awesome new model, which is first available in Boarding Patrol: T’au Empire. This powerful assault force contains three Crisis battlesuits and 10 Fire Warriors, accompanied by a small shoal of Drones. It’s a firepower-first nightmare for enemy patrols, and even includes some close combat punch thanks to Farsight himself.* Arks of Omen: Farsight Enclaves Dice Set The savings all around speak for themselves – I’m sure Trazyn the Infinite himself couldn’t resist getting a few copies for his collection. Some people love the new-ish Voidscarred, so this might be a popular bundle option. Not sure why that is, but it does put a bit of tar on this box’s savings – but otherwise, this is great value if you’re in need of buffing a Necron horde.
