About this deal

Due to Mickey7's best "friend" reporting him dead when he was just kind of lost, Mickey8 is already up and alive. Mickey is a such fun and likeable protagonist with an engaging voice, and a personality that will make you laugh and want to facepalm in. It is fascinating to see how different cultures and religions struggle to cope with Expendables since they don’t die! There’s still not much to see, but at least I can make out the roof of the chamber above me, glowing now in a pale, spectral gray, and the black ring of the ice-crusted opening that must have brought me here.

It hits all the right notes in all the right respects, follows its internal logistics tightly and spins a fascinating and compelling narrative of wildly imaginative, well crafted future.Mickey Barnes chose life as an expendable because, frankly, it was the best way to get on a colony ship away from Earth. Although Mickey was not alone on the planet, Mickey7 does have The Martian feel with sharp and witty dialog. Edward Ashton keeps it all grounded via a protagonist who experiences the wonders of interstellar travel and alien contact while literally having the worst job in the universe. That movie moves along at a brisk pace but has some of the weakest mythology this side of Battlefield Earth.

That means that the ship keeps clone cells ready to pop out the next Mickey, that's the guy's name, when he dies. Mickey’s job title is exactly what it sounds like—every time there’s a mission too dangerous, they send him in, and if he dies, they’ll simply regenerate a new clone of him, with his memories mostly intact.Mickey7 was the most likeable character, rather sanguine and wholly humble because the figurative grass could never grow beneath his feet. But when the super angry base commander gets word that something is up, the Mickeys will need to accelerate a plan for figuring out the true purpose of Mickey. R. Martin had a series of books set in a universe that’s not super dissimilar from "Mickey 7," long before " A Song of Ice and Fire," of course. The novel was recently picked up and will be brought to the big screen by acclaimed director Bong Joon-Ho, with Robert Pattison set to star.
