About this deal

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection [b] is a compilation of remastered ports of Metal Gear video games released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011 and PlayStation Vita in 2012. These games are at their best when you skip the cut-scenes and get straight to the tactical espionage action, but doing so on a first play-through would mean missing much of what makes the series special. Since the Xbox 360 and PS Vita version lack the pressure-sensitive buttons featured on the PS2 controllers, the ability to aim and lower a firearm without firing it in Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 are assigned to a specific button instead in those versions (either, by pressing the left stick on the Xbox 360 controller or by pressing the d-pad down on the PS Vita). Instead of consisting of a linear adventure where you occasionally find new weapons and tools as you progress, story and side missions are selected from a menu.

For the first time ever, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker are on one disc. As if the "HD" in the title didn't clue you in, graphics matter more than ever, and for the most part, these games look great. a compilation of various Metal Gear titles that includes all games from the HD Collection, except Peace Walker.Review aggregator Metacritic gave the Xbox 360 version 90/100, [22] the PlayStation 3 version 89/100 [23] and the PlayStation Vita version 81/100. saying, "if you loved these three gruff, gravel-voiced games on their original releases, or missed them the first time around, they're certainly worth adding (or re-adding, or, if you're like me, re-re-adding) to your library. net is owned by Gamer Network Limited, a ReedPop company and subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions Limited.

You don’t just get the games – MGS 2 and 3 are based on the Substance and Subsistence releases respectively, which means a few perks are included, like VR missions and Snake tales. Both Snake Eater and its direct sequel Peace Walker are prequels set a generation before the series began, while MGS2 takes place nearly 30 years after Peace Walker. When Kojima pulled the rug out from under our feet by replacing Solid Snake with androgynous pretty-boy Raiden after MGS2's opening chapter, it set the tone for a series that continues to defy expectations. You’ll listen to codec conversations, dupe dozens of enemy soldiers, and experience some of the best boss battles in gaming history. Sometimes the resulting letters form strings of words that kind of make sense when you think about them for a moment.controls are super janky, mechanics of the game are super outdated, I mean, the game is ok, I really don´t understand the hype back then and still today, is it about the story?
