I feel like there could’ve been a little bit more character development, especially knowing this is going to be a series.On one hand, the book is well written and the author has done a great job of making the characters fully formed with good pacing throughout. I do love a good age gap romance and with a touch of darkness throughout this book kept me turning the pages.

EMPIRE OF LUST is perfect for long-time mafia romance readers, but also one I’d recommend to anyone wanting to experiment with a darker read. The insecurity trope is strong with the female MC (whose voice actress sounded like an older woman trying to sound like a young Valley girl). If I was a smart woman I would have waited for the series to be completed before I started this achingly, delicious journey. Bianca is a shy girl that has had a crush on her BFF's dad for a long time and she thought "ok nvm nothing is gonna happen but let me take a sneak peak" well that sneak peek let to a whole lotta stuff ok?
