About this deal

Any of them would be an interesting story by itself, but none of them truly appreciated unless combined with all of the others. King takes his protagonist Jake Epping, a high school English teacher from Lisbon Falls, Maine, 2011, on a fascinating journey back to 1958 – from a world of mobile phones and iPods to a new world of Elvis and JFK, of Plymouth Fury cars and Lindy Hopping, of a troubled loner named Lee Harvey Oswald and a beautiful high school librarian named Sadie Dunhill, who becomes the love of Jake’s life – a life that transgresses all the normal rules of time. Either way I hope you enjoy – just know you cannot go back and change the fact that you took the time to read it . I hear it's so much different than his other work, but I also haven't met a single person that didn't love it.

She had married a man named Trevor Anderson, with whom she has five children, eleven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.But, since it isn’t really horror, more historical fiction and alternative reality, I think that some people who have been shying away from King might greatly enjoy this. A school teacher, Jake Epping, travels back in time through a portal with the aim of preventing the assassination of JFK, often considered to be a huge watershed moment in American history.

Part of Jake's time is spent in Jodie, a small town on the outskirts of Dallas; there, he becomes an English teacher for a consolidated school and becomes well-liked by the students and faculty for his stage productions. The NFL started the Cowboys in Dallas just to screw with him, and he eventually had to move the team to Kansas City and change their name to the Chiefs. Not just because it´s US politics from decades ago I never knew that much about, but also because the postmodernist realization that everything has been corrupted made me choose irony and sarcasm as the only possible responses to protect my, already balancing on the cliffs of insanity, brain. But what about the segregation and the sexism and the second hand smoke and the lack of high-def television, Jake?A constant suspense and wonder as the reader considers when- and how- we'll get to that fateful titular date, not to mention what will happen when we get there, and once we leave it behind. Some people were bored by the detailed description of Jake/George’s life in Jodie but I kind of like it. The number on the back page does say 849 pages, but King's writing style makes reading this book effortless. Originally King had a different ending to his latest book 11/22/63 but after a suggestion from his son, Joe Hill, he changed it Here is what the moderator of King's official board had to say about it.
