About this deal

His tendency to shirk responsibility and act out, especially when they were children, forced Auden to be more of a "little adult," she explains in the book. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.

A poor condition book can still make a good reading copy but is generally not collectible unless the item is very scarce. Auden checks in with Heidi, who explains she lost it because he wouldn't even go out as a family on the 4th, her favorite. When he learns that Auden has never bowled—or had a sleepover, gone to prom, or set off firecrackers—he makes a list of things she’s never experienced. This book is simply well written: you follow the characters and fond yourself - no matter your age - involved in their adventures and even pondering about life experiences.I’ve always struggled to gauge someone’s tone through text, but books like Along for the Ride are an exception to that. When they were still together and fighting constantly, Auden developed persistent insomnia in the hopes that they would just stop fighting as long as she was awake. As she opens up to others and learns that yes, people can change, the world becomes a much more inviting place, with more things to offer than just textbooks to hide behind. Her mother has always been detached and career-focused, and pushes Auden to be the same way with her academics.

Sarah Dessen at her finest - a beautiful novel about self-discovery, friendship, family, love and acceptance.Heidi West: Auden's upbeat 26-year-old stepmother who has been married to Robert West for about a year. As she settles in, the usually glamorous Heidi is disheveled and overtired as she cares for her screaming baby.

Eli ends up not holding it against her, but the girls at Clementine's initially judge her, as they do in the movie. Bereavement is a key theme - for loved ones, for what might have been - and Dessen illustrates how important it is to move on and let go of the past. Auden is a complex, real character, surrounded by characters who are as equally well developed and true to life. She is also the author of Just Listen, The Truth About Forever and Lock and Key, which recently reached number 1 in the New York Times Bestseller list.

Gifted but lonely teen Auden tries to recreate a childhood lost to a dysfunctional family by hanging out with other teens at the beach before they all head off to college in the fall. Exchanging Valentines can be an awkward process, especially when you consider “Vinegar Valentines” and other snarky sentiments - whatever your tastes, enjoy the sweet and sour cards alike in this gallery!
